WarPulse LLC respects the rights of copyright owners and responds to notices of claimed infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512). This page explains how to report a WarpStash share link, what happens next, and how an account holder can respond.

01 · How we identify content

We act on WarpStash share links: public links of the form https://warpstash.com/s/…. A share link tells us exactly which file was shared and which account shared it.

We can't search the private storage of our users, and many files are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't see their contents. A notice that doesn't include a WarpStash share link gives us nothing to act on.

02 · What a notice must include

  • your physical or electronic signature, as the owner of the copyright or a person authorised to act for them;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
  • the WarpStash share link(s) to the material you believe infringes it;
  • your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

03 · Submit a notice

Use the form below. You can also send a notice containing the same information to our designated agent (section 7).

04 · What happens next

We review each notice. When it's valid, we disable the reported link and turn off sharing for the file, so it can't be shared again through any link. We notify the account holder in their account, including the link that was reported, and record a copyright strike against the account.

05 · Counter-notices

If you believe material from your account was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to our designated agent at dmca@warpulse.com. It must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • the share link that was removed;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, postal address and telephone number;
  • a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which WarPulse may be found); and
  • a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice, or their agent.

We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we restore sharing for the file within 10 to 14 business days and retract the strike.

06 · Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. Each valid notice is a strike against the account that shared the reported link. Strikes expire once six months pass without a further notice.

08 · Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you aren't sure whether material infringes your copyright, consider getting legal advice before sending a notice.
